HSTi is always improving on the software of the Wireless Media Stick.

There are 2 ways to upgrade the firmware on your device. The best way to perform the upgrade is to use the automatic software update button.

Updating Software with the Software Update Button

 

1) If there is a software update available from HSTi, a button will appear in the top left corner of the Management Page. Click the button to begin the update process.

WARNING: DO NOT UNPLUG THE Wireless Media Stick™ OR SHUTDOWN THE COMPUTER DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS. THIS WILL DAMAGE THE Wireless Media Stick™ AND MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY. THE UPDATE MAY TAKE 5 MINUTES OR MORE TO COMPLETE.

2) A window will open and inform you what version of software you have installed on your stick, and what version is available. You can click the link ‘View Release Notes’ to see what changes are included in the update. Click the ‘Apply’ button to begin the update.

3) The new firmware is being downloaded to your device. Please wait for this step to complete.

4) The new firmware is being installed. Please wait for this step to complete.

5) The new firmware has been installed. You will be returned to the Wireless Media Stick™ Management Page after 15 seconds.

Once you see the management page again, the software update is complete.
 

Updating software manually (optional)


Use this procedure to perform a manual firmware upgrade for your device.Please download the latest firmware version here:

3.01.005 WMS Software

‘version-number’.bin. Download this file to your PC/Mac. Please note, you need to have a registered Wireless Media Stick to download the software.
 

1) Click the link above to obtain the software file


2) If asked, select to Save the file to your computer. The file you download will probably be not the version number in the image, but a version higher than the one you have on your stick.

3) Go to your Management Page with your web browser, and Click on the config button to configure your Wireless Media Stick™. The current software Version is displayed in this window. Click on the “Browse” button and browse to the update file to begin the Wireless Media Stick™ update. Click the “Upload” button when the file has been chosen.
