I don't have a password on my Windows account and can't share a folder from Windows.

It is a security 'feature' of Windows sharing that a password is required to share a folder. Even if that password is 'none' or 'password'. If you leave your Windows account with no password, you will not be able to use that account to share with the stick. Simply create a password for your windows account, or share your files in the Public folder in Windows.
