Use the following procedure to setup your Windows Vista computer for file sharing with the WMS.
1. Click on the “Start” button and then “Control Panel”.
2. In the “Control Panel”, click on “Network and Internet”.
3. In “Network and Internet”, Click on “Network and Sharing Center”.
4. In the “Sharing and Discovery” section, make sure the following options are selected:
Network discovery: On File sharing: On Password protected sharing: Off To share a Public folder, ensure that “Public folder sharing”, is turned on.
When complete, close the window.
NOTE: turning off password protected sharing enables the WMS to browse the folders on the shared pc. If you share the folder with a user account on the pc, you still have the security of having to provide a username and password to access the share.
Your Vista pc is setup to share on your network.
